Resuming a conversation

Learn how to resume conversations without interactions for more than 24 hours!

Conversations that remain without interactions for over 24 hours will have the text field locked. To resume the conversation, you need to send a new template. This happens because Meta considers it a new conversation after 24 hours without interactions, and after sending the template to resume the conversation, the text field will only be unlocked after the contact's response.
