To initiate an active conversation with a contact directly through the timeline, it is necessary to send a pre-registered and approved contact-type template.
Make sure the contact doesn't have any ongoing conversations to proceed with the sending.
In the contact's tab, alongside the other native HubSpot actions, the WhatsApp icon will be added. Click on it and select the template you want to send.
A preview of the template, along with the corresponding variables, will be displayed so the agent can see how the message will be delivered. Click "send" and wait for the contact's response. After receiving a response, the conversation will be directed to the agent's inbox, allowing further handling of the conversation.
